David T. Harvey, MD, FACP, FAAD

After completing medical training at Harvard and Washington Universities, Dr. Harvey undertook a primary care internal medicine residency at the University of Rochester, in New York State followed by a dermatology residency at the University of South Florida College of Medicine in Tampa. He is board certified in both Dermatology and Internal Medicine.

Presently, Dr. Harvey is in private practice in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, an oceanfront community near Jacksonville, Fl. He served as Presidents for both the Florida Society of Dermatologic Surgeons and the Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. Dr Harvey is currently on the Board of Directors for the American Society of Mohs Surgery and is a peer reviewer for that society. Academically he teaches advanced dermatologic surgery for residents at the University of Florida and South Florida.

Dr. Harvey has noted experience in cosmetic and dermatologic surgery. His expertise lies in the field of laser surgery. Dr. Harvey instructs and lectures nationally in such procedures as fractional resurfacing, photodynamic therapy, filler therapies and skin cancer surgery. He is a member of several professional organizations and societies including the American Society for Mohs Surgery, the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Society of Dermatological Surgery, the Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatological Surgery, the American College of Physicians, the American Society for Laser Surgery and Medicine, the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, and the Jacksonville Dermatology Society. He has authored over 16 scientific articles and textbook chapters in the field of skin cancer, cosmetic dermatology, aging skin and environmental medicine.

Dr. Harvey currently resides in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida with his wife Nina, daughter Emma and son Andrew. His hobbies include running, and instrumental guitar.



Chris O'Connell, MD
General and Cosmetic Dermatologist

Dr. Christopher O'Connell joined ADAS in July 2008. He is a native of Jacksonville and a graduate of the Bolles School. He graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor of Arts from Vanderbilt University. Dr. O'Connell received his Medical Degree from the University of Miami's Miller School of Medicine.

Dr. O'Connell performed both his Internal Medicine Internship and Dermatology Residency training at Columbia University's St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City. While in residency, Dr. O'Connell received training in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology.

While working with physicians from St. Luke's Roosevelt's Skin of Color Institute, he also received additional experience in the diagnosis and management of dermatologic disease in persons of color.

Dr. O'Connell has published articles in numerous journals and magazines, including the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology and Pediatric Dermatology. He is looking forward to helping his community and serving the needs of our patients.
